As a team, the Nuggets shot 53 percent from the field and six of 20 from the 3-point line as they wrestled with the Knicks in a tightly contested first half, before they played great defense to hold the Knicks to just 20 points in the third quarter to start to pull away and improve to 28-6 at home this season.
Portland Trail Blazers
Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have been in a real slump as they’ve lost nine of their last 11 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a five-game slide after falling short to the Clippers in a 125-117 loss last night. Scoot Henderson led the team in scoring with 24 points and 10 assists, Keegan Murray added 21 points while Dalano Banton chippe in with 17 points off the bench. As a team, the Trail Blazers got off to another slow start, leaking 42 points in the first quarter to fall behind by as many as 26 points before they exploded for 37 points in the fourth quarter to get to within six points with 10 seconds left on the clock. The Blazers will play against the Rockets after this game.

This is definitely a game where you want to check the lineups before tipoff, but even if the Nuggets are missing their two best players, I still think they can take care of business against this ice-cold Trail Blazers missing almost all of their best players once again. The line is hefty, but the Nuggets still have more than enough firepower to get the job done even if Jokic sits this one out.
