Portland Trail Blazers vs New Orleans Pelicans Prediction 2-10-24 Picks

The Portland Trail Blazers play host to the New Orleans Pelicans at the Moda Center on Saturday night. Here’s a Trail Blazers vs Pelicans Prediction.

New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans were on a bit of a run as they were riding a four-game win streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the Lakers in a 139-122 road loss last night. Zion Williamson led the team with 30 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Brandon Ingram added 22 points with seven rebounds and seven assists while CJ McCollum chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Pelicans shot 51 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line, but they played almost no defense early on and were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing a season-high 51 points in the second quarter. The Pelicans will face the Grizzlies after this game.

Portland Trail Blazers

Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have been in a rut as they’ve lost five of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game skid after getting beaten by the Pistons in a 128-122 overtime loss on Thursday. Jerami Grant led the team with 49 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Anfernee Simons added 29 points with five assists while Jabari Walker chipped in with 17 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in full control when they built a 23-point lead, but they never put away the Pistons and it cost them in the overtime period where they managed just two points to suffer their worst defeat of the season.

Trail Blazers vs Pelicans Prediction

The Pelicans were starting to heat up before last night’s terrible loss to the Lakers, while the Trail Blazers have continued their downward spiral and are coming into this one after wasting a 23-point lead to the lowly Pistons to lose in overtime on Thursday. The Trail Blazers have the advantage of extra rest and they are playing at home, but I’m looking at the Pelicans to bounce back in this one after getting embarrassed last night. The line is reasonable in this one, so I’ll lean towards the Pelicans to get the job done on the road.
