As a team, the Nuggets shot 48 percent from the field and 14 of 32 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the pesky Lakers in a tight contest, until they closed the final 1:56 on a 10-2 run to escape with the gritty road win in the end. Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they’ve won six of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting routed by the Pistons in a 133-120 loss on Wednesday. Domantas Sabonis led the team with 30 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists, Malik Monk added 23 points with 10 assists off the bench while Kevin Huerter chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Kings shot 47 percent from the field and 15 of 44 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they poured in 36 points in the third quarter to turn a seven-point halftime deficit into a nine-point lead, only to get blown out in the fourth quarter in one of their more disappointing losses of the season.
