Golden State Warriors Betting Preview
The Golden State Warriors are still searching for their first win of the season after coming up painfully short to the new-look Suns in a 108-104 loss on Tuesday. Stephen Curry led the way with 27 points, Klay Thompson added 15 points on six of 18 shooting while Chris Paul chipped in with 14 points and nine assists. As a team, the Warriors shot a miserly 35 percent from the field and 10 of 43 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 40 points in the third quarter to overcome an early 15-point deficit, only to go cold and score just 18 points in the fourth quarter to allow the Suns to slip away in the end. Dario Saric had a rough night as he shot just three of 11 for his seven points while Gary Payton shot zero of five to finish with just one point.
Sacramento Kings Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings will be eager to stay hot in this one after blowing past the Jazz in a 130-114 road win on Wednesday. Harrison Barnes led the team with 33 points on 11 of 16 shooting, Domantas Sabonis added 22 points with 12 rebounds and five assists while De’Aaron Fox tallied 18 points with six assists. As a team, the Kings shot 46 percent from the field and 19 of 51 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Jazz from the start and always looked in complete control after exploding for 72 points in the first half. The Kings dominated from the start and led by as many as 23 points in this one before they eased off in the fourth quarter.
Peter’s Pick
The Warriors were almost good enough to get the win over the Suns in their season opener despite shooting just 35 percent from the field, but I don’t think they’re going to be in the contest against the Kings if they get off to another poor start. The Kings are healthy and it looks like they’ve hit the ground running with Barnes and Sabonis playing well on Wednesday. This should be a close one, but I think the Kings get the win and cover at home at this short line.
