Sacramento Kings vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction 3-18-24 Picks

The Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings meet Monday in NBA action at the Golden 1 Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Memphis Grizzlies vs Sacramento Kings prediction.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have been in a real slump as they’ve lost nine of their last 12 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after falling short to the red-hot Thunder in a 118-112 loss on Saturday. Desmond Bane led the team with 22 points and seven assists, Jaren Jackson Jr and GG Jackson each scored 19 points while Santi Aldama chipped in with 16 points, six rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 45 percent from the field and 18 of 44 from the 3-point line as they leaked 35 points in the third quarter to fall behind by 14 points, before they finished with a flurry in the fourth quarter to get to within four points with plenty of time left on the clock.

Sacramento Kings

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in decent form as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back in this spot after having their two-game win streak halted by the Knicks in a 98-91 loss on Saturday. Domantas Sabonis led the team with 21 points and 14 rebounds on nine of 16 shooting, De’Aaron Fox added 20 points with seven rebounds and nine assists while Malik Monk chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Kings shot just 35 percent from the field and 10 of 37 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the pesky Knicks in a close contest, until they went scoreless in the final 2:30 to allow the Knicks to slip away in the end.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Sacramento Kings prediction

The Grizzlies are still missing a host of players including Marcus Smart, Ja Morant, Derrick Rose and Brandon Clarke to name a few, while the Kings are still missing Trey Lyles due to an MCL sprain. The Grizzlies have really struggled to win games all season, but they were more than competitive in their narrow loss to the red-hot Thunder in their last outing, so the Kings could be in danger if they look past this Grizzlies squad. The Kings have opened as heavy favorites and while I’m sure they get the win at home, I just don’t feel that they should be favored by so many points, even against this Grizzlies team missing so many players. I’m taking the points in a game that will be closer than it should be.
