The Denver Nuggets and the San Antonio Spurs duke it out once again at the AT&T Center on Saturday night.

The Denver Nuggets have been in a real slump as they’ve lost nine of their past 12 games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting thrashed by the Spurs in a 123-111 road loss on Thursday. Aaron Gordon led the team with 25 points on nine of 12 shooting, Nikola Jokic racked up a triple-double of 22 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists while Will Barton chipped in with 19 points and four assists. As a team, the Nuggets shot 44 percent from the field and 15 of 39 from the 3-point line, but their defense was the problem as they were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing the Spurs to explode for 74 points in the first half.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in great shape as they’ve won five of their past seven games and they will be looking to stay hot after beating the Nuggets on Thursday. Derrick White led the team with 23 points on nine of 14 shooting, Lonnie Walker added 21 points, Dejounte Murray scored 20 points with eight rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 52 percent from the field and 15 of 35 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running and poured in 37 points to take the early lead, before pulling away in the fourth quarter where they held the Nuggets to just 21 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nuggets are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a loss of more than 10 points and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Spurs are 5-1 ATS in their last six games as an underdog and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall, the Nuggets are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and the Nuggets are 4-9 ATS in the last 13 meetings in San Antonio.

It’s always tough to beat the same team twice in a row, but it’s hard to trust the Nuggets who are only 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Spurs have quietly been playing some of their best basketball of the season so far and they’ve been good to bettors as they are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. This should be a close one, but I think the Spurs can come away with the win and cover once again in this spot.
