San Antonio Spurs vs Detroit Pistons Prediction 4-14-24 Picks

The Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs meet Sunday in NBA action at the Frost Bank Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Pistons vs Spurs prediction.

Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost 14 of their last 16 games overall, but they will be feeling better after snapping a six-game losing streak with a 107-89 road win over the Mavericks on Friday. Marcus Sasser led the team with 24 points on nine of 20 shooting, Chimezie Metu added 18 points while Evan Fournier chipped in with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Pistons shot 48 percent from the field and eight of 31 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their defense as they kept a lid on the Mavericks from the start and outpaced them in every quarter to come away with the unlikely blowout win on the road.

San Antonio Spurs

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in surprisingly good form lately as they’ve won three of their past five games overall and they will be eager to cap off their regular season on a high note after sneaking past the Nuggets in a 121-120 win on Friday. Victor Wembenyama led the team with 34 points, 12 rebounds and five assists, Sandro Mamukelashvili added 21 points with 12 rebounds while Jre Jones chipped in with 14 points and 10 assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 52 percent from the field and 15 of 33 from the 3-point line as they struggle to get going and looked to be in real trouble when they got outscored by 37-18 in the second quarter to trail by as many as 23 points, before they fallied with 71 points in the second half to snatch the game away in the final second of the game.

Pistons vs Spurs prediction

The Pistons are still missing Cade Cunningham, Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren, while the Spurs are missing a bunch of players including Keldon Johnson, Cedi Osman and Victor Wembenyama who are all out. This is certainly a game that I won’t be watching, given that they are two struggling teams, resting their best players in a game that doesn’t matter. However, the Pistons looked great in their upset win over the Mavericks, and I think they can get the job done as the underdogs in this spot.
