The Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs collide at the AT& Center on Friday night.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been building nicely as they were on a three-game win streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the Heat in a 138-119 road loss on Wednesday. Jaren Jackson Jr. led the team with 25 points and nine rebounds on 10 of 15 shooting, Luke Kennard added 14 points off the bench while Tyus Jones and Desmond Bane scored 11 points apiece. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 50 percent from the field and 18 of 46 from the 3-point line, but they weren’t at their best on the defensive end and fell behind by 12 points going into halftime, before they allowed 42 points in the third quarter to trail by as many as 28 points.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in decent form as they’ve split their last eight games, but they will be hoping for a better performance after getting routed by the Mavericks in a 137-128 overtime loss on Wednesday. Keldon Johnson led the team with 27 points on 11 of 25 shooting, Malaki Branham added 20 points off the bench while Romeo Langford chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 45 percent from the field and 15 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a decent start and looked to be in control before they squandered a nine-point fourth quarter lead and scored just seven points in overtime to allow the Mavericks to run them down in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 road games and 43-16 ATS in their last 59 games following a loss of more than 10 points. The Spurs are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games, 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team above .600 and 7-20 ATS in their last 27 games overall.

Head to head, the Grizzlies are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings overall.

The Grizzlies are shorthanded once again as Ja Morant, Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke are all out, while the Spurs are still missing Devonte Graham, Romeo Langford and Khem Birch. The Grizzlies were good enough to go on a three-game win streak before they ran into the Heat on Wednesday, and I like their chances to start another win streak against this Spurs team who have been punching above their weight lately. The Grizzlies are still better than half the teams in the league despite their injuries and I think they’ll prove that against the Spurs in this outing.
