The Utah Jazz pay a visit to the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center on Wednesday night.

The Utah Jazz have been in a rut as they’ve lost five of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to snap a four-game slide after getting routed by the Suns in a 117-103 loss on Monday. Lauri Markkanen led the team with 25 points and nine rebounds, Walker Kessler added 18 points with eight rebounds and seven blocks while Talen Horton-Tucker chipped in with 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Jazz shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 36 from the 3-point line as they worked hard to cut into an early 16-point deficit, only to allow the Suns to pour in 33 points in the fourth quarter to lose by double-digits in the end.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games and they will be hoping to snap a four-game slide after getting completely dominated by the Celtics in a 137-93 road loss on Sunday. Zach Collins led the team with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists, Malaki Branham added 15 points while Tre Jones chipped in with 11 points. As a team, the Spurs shot just 37 percent from the field and eight of 36 from the 3-point line as they allowed the Celtics to pour in 38 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 10 points going into halftime, before they scored just 35 points in the second half to get completely blown out.

Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following a double-digit loss at home, 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Spurs are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games, 7-21 ATS in their last 28 games against a team with a losing record and 7-22 ATS in their last 29 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Jazz are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the Jazz are 9-25-1 ATS in the last 35 meetings in San Antonio.

The Jazz are still missing Jordan Clarkson, Rudy Gay and Collin Sexton, while the Spurs have ruled out Jeremy Sochan, Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell again. The Jazz have really gone off the boil lately as they struggle to deal with the growing injury list, while the Spurs can’t buy a win and just lost by 44 points to the Celtics in their last outing. This is certainly a game I’d rather stay away from, given how poorly both teams have been, but the Jazz are only 9-25-1 ATS in the last 35 meetings in San Antonio, so I’ll reluctantly side with the Spurs at home.
