Toronto Raptors vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction 3-3-24 Picks

The Charlotte Hornets travel to the Scotiabank Arena to take on the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night. Here’s a Hornets vs Raptors Prediction.

Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets have been doing it tough lately as they’ve lost four of their last five games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game skid after getting beaten by the 76ers in a 121-114 road loss on Friday. Miles Bridges led the team with 27 points and 11 rebounds, Nick Richards added 19 points while Davis Bertans chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Hornets shot 51 percent from the field and 14 of 33 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they exploded for 36 points in the second quarter to take the lead into halftime, only to go ice-cold when it mattered most as they scored just two points in the final 1:59 to allow the 76ers to slip away in a close finish.

Toronto Raptors

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have been in poor form as they’ve lost five of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting routed by the Warriors in a 120-105 loss on Friday. RJ Barrett led the team with 23 points on nine of 16 shooting, Kelly Olynyk added 16 points, 10 rebounds and three assists off the bench while Immanuel Quickley chipped in with 12 points and 11 assists. As a team, the Raptors shot just 42 percent from the field and 12 of 45 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Warriors early on and did good enough to take the lead into halftime, but all their hard work went down the drain in the fourth quarter where the Warriors took a 24-7 run to pull away for good.

Hornets vs Raptors Prediction

The Hornets showed glimpses of their potential when they made all those trades, but they’ve gone cold again with four losses in their last five games, while the Raptors have continued their struggles and just got routed by the Warriors in an ugly loss on Friday. You couldn’t back either side with much confidence these days, so while I’m picking the Hornets here, it’s more because I don’t feel that the Raptors should be favored by this many points the way they’ve been playing.
