The Toronto Raptors play host to the Charlotte Hornets at the Scotiabank Arena on Monday night. Here’s a Raptors vs Hornets prediction.
Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to snap a four-game slide after getting completely obliterated by the 76ers in a 135-82 loss on Saturday. Brandon Miller led the team in scoring with just 14 points and four assists on four of 16 shooting, Bryce McGowens chipped in with 12 points, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Hornets shot just 36 percent from the field and seven of 35 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and were completely out of the contest after falling behind by 73-44 going into halftime. The Hornets just had no answer for the 76ers who shot over 60 percent from the field for the game thanks to Joel Embiid who barely missed on his way to 42 points.

As a team, the Raptors shot 51 percent from the field and 10 of 31 from the 3-point line as they did their best to remain within striking distance for most of the contest, until the fourth quarter where the Hawks exploded for 38 points to make it a blowout.

Raptors vs Hornets prediction
The Hornets have continued their downward spiral with a massive loss to the 76ers on Saturday, but the Raptors haven’t been much better as they just got blown out by the struggling Hawks in their last outing. You couldn’t back either side with much confidence these days, but even though I think the Raptors get the much-needed win here, the line is just too hefty for me, so I have to take the Hornets with the points.
