Utah Jazz vs Los Angeles Clippers Prediction 12-8-23 NBA Picks

The Los Angeles Clippers pay a visit to the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center on Friday night. Here’s a Clippers vs Jazz Prediction.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight win after beating the Nuggets in a 111-102 win on Wednesday. Paul George led the team with 25 points, James Harden added 20 points with 11 assists while Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell scored 17 points each. As a team, the Clippers shot 46 percent from the field and 12 of 27 from the 3-point line as they allowed the Nuggets to get off to a flyer to fall behind by 15 points right away, but they responded with a 40-point second quarter and then dominated the fourth quarter to cap off the impressive comeback victory.

Utah Jazz

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have struggled lately as they’ve lost seven of their last 10 games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting humiliated by the Mavericks in a 147-97 road loss on Wednesday. Ochai Agbaji led the team in scoring with 21 points on seven of 14 shooting, Talen Horton-Tucker added 11 points off the bench while John Collins chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Jazz shot just 40 percent from the field and 12 of 33 from the 3-point line as they had no answer for the Mavericks’ Luka Doncic who already compiled a triple-double before halftime. The Jazz fell behind by double-digits in the first quarter and things only got uglier as the game went on.

Clippers vs Jazz Prediction

The Jazz are still shorthanded with Lauri Markkanen out and Kelly Olynyk listed as questionable, while the Clippers are coming into this one with a full squad. This is the classic case of two teams headed in opposite directions and I think the line is reasonable, so I’m backing the Clippers to maintain their nice run with another win and cover on the road against this depleted Jazz team.
