Utah Jazz vs New Orleans Pelicans Prediction 11-25-23 NBA Picks

The New Orleans Pelicans and the Utah Jazz duke it out at the Delta Center on Saturday night. Here’s a Pelicans vs Jazz Prediction.

New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans have really started to turn things around lately despite the injury to CJ McCollum. Brandon Ingram has led the way with averages of 24.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, Zion Williamson is averaging 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game while Jonas Valanciunas is averaging 13.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. As a team, the Pelicans are averaging 113.5 points while shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from the 3-point line.

Utah Jazz

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost eight of their last 10 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a four-game slide after getting beaten by the Trail Blazers in a 121-105 road loss on Wednesday. Lauri Markkanen led the team with 24 points, eight rebounds and three steals, Keyonte George added 16 points with seven assists while Kelly Olynyk and Jordan Clarkson scored 13 points each. As a team, the Jazz shot 46 percent from the field and 10 of 31 from the 3-point line but they continued to struggle on the defensive end and were never truly a threat after falling behind by 65-46 going into halftime.

Peter’s Pick

The Pelicans are still without Trey Murphy and CJ McCollum for the time being, while the Jazz are keeping eyes on Walker Kessler and Lauri Markkanen who are both questionable for this one. The Pelicans come into this one as the team in better form and they are the deserved favorites even though they’re playing their second game of a back to back set. The Jazz are capable of pulling off the minor upset at home, but they’ve been poor all season and they could be missing Markkanen here, so I’ll lean towards the Pelicans on the road.
