Utah Jazz vs Phoenix Suns 4/8/22 NBA Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Phoenix Suns and the Utah Jazz duke it out at the Vivint Arena on Friday night.

The Phoenix Suns have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost three of their past four games and they will be aiming to bounce back after coming up just short to the Clippers in a 113-109 road loss on Wednesday. Ish Wainright led the team with 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Aaron Holiday added 16 points with seven assists while Bismack Biyombo tallied 14 points with 12 rebounds. As a team, the Suns shot just 38 percent from the field and 17 of 48 from the 3-point line as they managed a season-low nine points in the second quarter to fall behind by as many as 39 points, before they rallied with 48 points in the fourth quarter to make it interesting in the end.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been in decent form as they’ve won three of their last four games and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Thunder in a 137-101 home win on Wednesday. Bojan Bogdanovic led the team with 27 points on seven of 11 shooting, Rudy Gobert added 20 points with 10 rebounds while Jordan Clarkson chipped in with 18 points and 10 assists off the bench. As a team, the Jazz shot a sizzling 58 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running and never looked in danger after exploding for 41 points in the first quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Suns are 4-0 ATS in their last four games as an underdog and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Jazz are 9-3-2 ATS in their last 14 home games, 9-26-2 ATS in their last 37 games against a team with a winning record and 16-33-4 ATS in their last 53 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall and the Suns are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.

The Suns have been a little below their best lately and they’re starting to rest healthy starters, while the Jazz have been in decent form and they just blew apart the Thunder on Wednesday. You really have to check the starting lineups before tipoff in this meeting as we could see some players sitting here, but I’ll stick with the Suns to get the job done after they were embarrassed by the Clippers in their last outing.
