The Colts and Bills do battle from Indianapolis as the former looks to continue their ascent up the league standings while the latter will be looking to finally make some noise in the AFC East.
The Bills have the opportunity this season to finally breakthrough as a contender in the AFC East, but they must play at the top of their game in order to do so which for Buffalo fans has been a rarity since the early 90’s. With the loss of Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, and Wes Welker, the Patriots will look very different this season, and Buffalo matches up well with both the Jets and Dolphins so this could very well be the year for the Bills. CJ Spiller is emerging as one of the best backs in the league and it is clear he will be getting the most touches this season over Fred Jackson, but it could be the latter seeing most of the touches in this game. The Bills will have former Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb manning the helm who actually isn’t that bad of an option and is certainly an upgrade over Ryan Fitzpatrick so we can anticipate a nice working relationship between Kolb and Stevie Johnson. Buffalo needs this preseason as a psyche builder and heading into Indianapolis, where we are very unlikely to see Andrew Luck get more than a few snaps, this could be a great spot for the visitors.

The Colts shocked the football world last season with their efforts and even made the postseason, which will definitely act as a catalyst for them heading into this season. Andrew Luck proved his worth as the first overall pick and the hype of Luck being the next thing in the NFL is certainly on course for validation and he will only go up from here as his career moves along. However, I don’t expect the Colts to give Luck much if any time in the early going of the preseason, much like they did with Peyton Manning in year’s past as his presence and health dictates so much of the team’s success and an injury in a meaningless game would definitely spoil the energy in Indy this season. The Colts are four point favorites at the moment, but I can definitely see that line moving in a hurry so I’m jumping on the Bills right away and I think they take this one outright. Taking Buffalo money line.
