The Buffalo Bills travel to the Nation's Capital to face the Washington Redskins Saturday.
Buffalo dominated Minnesota on both sides of the ball to up their preseason mark to 2-0 following a 20-16 victory. The first half was all Bills with the defense holding the Peterson-less Vikings to only 74 yards in the first half and 256 for the game, while racking up 380 yards themselves. Not all was peaches and creme however, as the defense recovered a fumble for the Bills lone first half TD in a 13-3 advantage with projected starter Kevin Kolb (13-21/111) looking average with an interception. The better news was EJ Manuel completed 10-12 for 92 yards and a score and might give Kolb and the coaching staff something to think about if his knee is 100% which is questionable.

In one of the sloppier games of the preseason, Washington handed Pittsburgh a 24-13 set back to up their record to 2-0. The fans should have been given their money back after this one which was simply hard on the eyes with both teams combining for five turnovers, 15 punts and 15 penalties. The Redskins won because they made the most of Pittsburgh miscues with Ryan Kerrigan opening the scoring with a 22 yard interception return of an errant Roethlisberger throw. The Skins received some nice yardage on the ground (28-146) but the only thing that probably mattered was the status of RGIII who is still projected to be out until the regular season opener. More urgent was the sprained foot of Kirk Cousins who left in the second quarter, leaving Rex Grossman (10-16/133) to get the majority of the snaps and no body is planning to see him under center to kick off the season.
Some thoughts here as I saw Kolb play in Philly as an Eagles fan and will only say there is a reason he is not still there. As for Washington, pray that RGIII is healthy or at the very least, Cousins can play because Grossman under center isn't a pleasant thought. If Kolb sputters in this one, he'd be a spectator real quick if I were running the show but Manuel is out. This looks risky even for a preseason game...
