The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Washington Redeskins in the preseason finale.
Washington dominated both sides of the ball in a week three 30-7 victory over the visiting Bills. Rex Grossman (11-21/171) was the starter under center, by default, with injuries to both RGIII and Kirk Cousins and did okay with a touchdown and, most important, no turnovers. The Redskins seemed to play this game with a sense of urgency and the starters and back ups played with intensity. The Skins were most impressive on the ground, where they rolled up 208 yards with Roy Helu (13-70) and Keiland Williams (8-52) leading the way, with the latter also finding the end zone. With the offense piling up over 450 yards, the defensive side of the football was just as dominant, with 155 yard and eight first downs given up, while forcing a pair of turnovers.

Tampa Bay found the end zone with just over a minute left to play to edge out the rival Dolphins 17-16 in week three action. On paper, Miami held a distinct advantage, but the Buccaneers won the turnover battle 4-1 in a contest that was a bit hard to watch. The Buccaneers struggled to move the ball throughout, with only 160 yards to their credit. TB ran for an almost respectable 90 yards on 26 carries, but the passing attack was a completely different situation. Josh Freeman (6-16/59) and Mike Glennon (3-9/44) struggled to connect with the receiving corps, with the later tossing a 12 yard scoring strike to win it, proving the only number that matters is the final score. The defense was hurt through the air with 241 yards given up, but made up for it with the huge edge in turnovers.
Going strictly by the respective numbers each team has put forth thus far, Washington would appear to have the advantage. I did say appear because some of these preseason games are as predictable as the weather...
