The Denver Broncos host the Oakland Raiders in a Monday Night Football AFC West tilt.
I have seen Oakland play on several occasions and the one area that sticks out like a sore thumb is that disaster awaits every time these guys put the ball in the air. That's the nicest way I can say the Raiders can't throw a little bit. They didn't have to against Jacksonville, which was no surprise as the Raiders went to the ground early and often and emerged with a 19-9 decision. Terelle Pryor completed 15-24 throws which is nice, but they only went for 126 yards which to be was an extention of the running game. Pryor used his legs to total 50 yards on nine carries, but the real deal on the ground was Darren McFadden, who enjoyed a 19 tote, 130 yard afternoon. The defense held the Jaguars to under 300 yards and gave up three field goals, as opposed to touchdowns, so it was game over from a defensive standpoint.

If you enjoy watching offense at it's best, then Denver was your team of choice the first two weeks, with 90 points as they mauled Baltimore and the Giants to go 2-0. The Broncos led the Giants 10-9 at the break before exploding for a never in doubt 41-23 pounding in New York. Denver did every thing they wanted in what was billed as a Manning versus Manning, but Peyton schooled his younger brother and the Giants were no match. Peyton threw for 307 yards and a pair of touchdowns, with Eric Decker hauling in nine balls for 87 yards. Knowshon Moreno paced the ground game with 93 yards on 13 touches and a pair of trips to the end zone, while Trindon Holliday returned a punt 81 yards to paydirt. The defense was tagged for 362 yards in the air, but being the giving person that he is, Eli threw four interceptions.
Without trying to overstate the obvious, this is a huge spread for a division game. I can see Denver winning by 30 or getting a lead and sitting on it so I won't be touching this. If I were I were to bet, it would be in a ten point teaser with the Broncos teased down...
