The Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants clash in week 8 Monday Night Football from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The Giants are coming off a big win over the Panthers in their last outing. As for the Chiefs, they couldn’t get much going against the Titans last weekend and lost in a blowout. New York hit the skids out of the gate this year, falling to the Broncos, Washington and Atlanta in their first trio. After an OT win over the Saints, New York lost to the Cowboys 44-20 and the Rams 38-11 before a 25-3 win over the Panthers.

In the victory over Carolina, the Giants did most of the damage in the second half; New York outscored the Panthers 20-0 in the final two quarters. QB Daniel Jones had 203 yards and a TD, while Devontae Booker put up 51 yards and a score off 14 carries.

Over on the Chiefs’ side, they beat the Browns in their opener but then fell to the Ravens 36-35 and the Chargers 30-24 in the next pair. Since then it’s been a 2-2 run for KC, with wins over the Eagles and Washington alongside losses to the Bills and Titans.

In the 27-3 loss to the Titans last weekend, Kansas City fell behind 27-0 at halftime and never found the end zone. QB Patrick Mahomes finished with 206 yards and a pick (also taking a big hit that knocked him out of the game). Byron Pringle added five catches for 73 yards.

The Giants are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games in Week 8 and 4-1 ATS in their last five games in November. New York is 20-6 ATS in their last 26 on the road as well.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 Monday games and 2-5 ATS versus a team with a losing record. KC is 4-13 ATS in their last 17 games as a favorite.

PICK: I’m going to try the Giants in this one. New York put together a good defensive effort against the Panthers in their last outing, holding Carolina to just 173 total yards, 56 rush yards, 2.6 yards per play and 11 first downs. The Giants offense wasn’t great (302 yards total) but did the job.

As for Kansas City, it’s looking like QB Patrick Mahomes will be fine after his scary hit on Sunday so that’s good news. The bad news is that the Chiefs gave up 24 first downs and an 8-of-12 line on third-down tries to the Titans. KC simply couldn’t get off the field during the loss. I like the Chiefs to rally and play better in this one but I think New York can find the cover.
