The Line: Minnesota Vikings +1 -- Over/Under: 42.5 See the Latest Odds

The Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers face off on Sunday in London in a battle of NFL winless teams.

The Minnesota Vikings were one of the surprise playoff teams from a year ago and this season they are going to e hard pressed to make a return as they have started the year 0-3.  After losing a heart breaker in week 2 in Chicago the Vikings looked and played uninspired at home against the Browns in week three. QB Christian Ponder has completed 59 percent of his passes with two touchdowns and five interceptions while being sacked 10 times but he has rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns. Adrian Peterson is averaging 4.1 yards per carry with three touchdowns while catching 11 passes with one of those going for a touchdown. Jerome Simpson leads the Vikings receivers with 12 catches while Greg Jennings has 11 and Kyle Rudolph has 10. Defensively the Vikings are allowing a 30th ranked 32 points per game and a 29th ranked 429.7 yards with six interceptions, four sacks, and three fumble recoveries. Chad Geenway has 25 tackles, Erin Henderson has 24 tackles and two interceptions, and Harrison Smith has 23 tackles and two interceptions. The Vikings have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Free Pick 9/29/13

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

It has been a disastrous start t the season for the Pittsburgh Steelers as years of drafting late and avoiding free agent signings looks to have caught up to them. The Steelers are banged up and lack quality depth and so far that has led to an 0-3 record. QB Ben Roethlisberger has completed 60.4 percent of his passes with four touchdowns and four interceptions while being sacked 10 times. Felix Jones has been the top option in the backfield averaging 4.2 yards per carry while Jonathan Dwyer averages 3.2 yards. Antonio Brown has 20 catches and two touchdowns to lead the Steelers, Emmanuel Sanders has 16 catches, and Jerricho Cotchery has 10 catches and a touchdown. Defensively the Steelers are allowing 25.3 points per game and a fifth ranked 298 yards but they have just three sacks, no interceptions, and one fumble recovery. Lawrence Timmons has 22 tackles, Ryan Clark has 23 tackles, and Troy Polamalu has 18 tackles. The Pittsburgh offense has been little to no help to the defense.

Minnesota is 3-8-1 against the spread in their last 12 week games and 1-3-1 against the spread after allowing 30 points or more their previous game. Pittsburgh is 4-0 against the spread following a double-digit home loss, 1-4 against the spread against a team with a record, and 1-5 against the spread following a loss.

The total in this one seems to be aggressively low and for me that makes this one a lean to the over. I also have a play on who will cover the point spread and I will post that ATS winner in the Premium Area.
