The Browns look to continue their winning ways as they host the Buffalo Bills at the Dog Pound for Thursday Night Football.
The Bills are coming off a very impressive effort on home field against the inconsistent Baltimore Ravens led by their stout defense that picked off Joe Flacco on five occasions that clearly propelled the Bills to victory. EJ Manuel was efficient in his outing though he didn’t have the numbers of a top tier guy but at the moment that’s not what the Bills are counting on. Buffalo is hoping their defense will be up for an encore heading into Cleveland where the surprising Browns, who were written off by almost everybody after they traded away Trent Richardson, have won back to back contests. The Bills are a much better team at home than on the road but they do have more than a shot at leaving Cleveland with a victory as they have two strong running backs, despite being hobbled and a defense that should be able to contain the playmakers for the Browns. Stevie Johnson has been quiet this season but rookie Robert Woods has stepped up and has been a spark to the Bills’ receiving game.

Cleveland was predicted to do some damage in the uncertain AFC North this season and with the Steelers off to an awful start, the Ravens not being able to pull off winnable games, and the Bengals laying an egg against these Browns last week the door is still wide open for them. Brian Hoyer is looking like Brian Griese right now as he has played very well since coming in to relieve Brandon Weeden and as long as the Browns keep winning it could move from a temporary to a permanent decision moving forward. Willis McGahee should see feature back snaps in this one as he continues to get acclimated to the Browns’ offense and while he may be damaged goods he is the best option on the ground for the Browns at the moment and he should give Cleveland an honest effort and will make a difference. This is a very tough game to call as both teams have shown signs of brilliance, and both have been walked all over and with a field goal line separating the teams I think it is too close to call. However, I like the total here as both teams have underrated defenses and ground games and two quarterbacks with very limited NFL experience. I am taking the under on this one and if I had to take a side it would be with the Bills plus the points.
