Today’s the day. We’re getting back to the Week 6 action around the NFL today with a full slate of interesting matchups happening around the league. Before we get things kicked off, let’s take a moment to ponder some of the last-minute considerations out there, as well as examine the injury issues heading into the later games. Here’s the latest.

Da’Rel Scott, RB, New York Giants: The problems continue to pile up for the Giants. After injuring his hamstring in Thursday’s Week 6 opener against the Bears, Scott is expected to be out of commission for a few weeks. That’s a huge blow to a team that now only has two healthy running backs on the roster: Brandon Jacobs and Michael Cox. David Wilson, who was expected to be the team’s heaviest contributor, is still sidelined with a neck injury. We’ll keep you posted on the situation.

What to Watch Tonight: The Week 6 edition of “Sunday Night Football” should be a pretty good one, and not only because it’s a divisional battle. The Redskins will be visiting the Cowboys tonight, and this game should provide a little more clarity within the muddy NFC East. No one in that division has really set themselves apart--aside from the Giants, who are moving in the wrong direction--but Dallas has shown flashes of real promise. They’ll need to avoid a letdown after losing in a high-drama shootout against Peyton Manning and the Broncos last week, and the shaky Redskins defense could be the cure for their ills.
Meanwhile, Washington is heading into this one healthy after a bye last week. RB Alfred Morris is expected to be back at full strength (he had a rib injury in the team’s last game) and he’ll be a major contributor as the team tries to secure its second straight win. The game is on NBC at 8:30 PM ET tonight.

Colts Injuries: The Colts have a few noteworthy names on their injury report for tomorrow night in San Diego, but on the whole they’re pretty healthy. Safety LaRon Landry will be out of the game, as will LB Bjoern Werner. LB Erik Walden is questionable, while DT Ricky Jean Francois and RB Stanley Havili are both probable.

Chargers Injuries: On the other side, the Chargers have a comparatively larger number of injury issues, but the majority are favorable situations. LB Donald Butler, LB Jarret Johnson, CB Richard Marshall and T D.J. Fluker are all questionable.
As for the probable designations, here’s the full list: G Jeromey Clary, T King Dunlap, RB Ryan Mathews, C Rich Ohrnberger, CB Johnny Patrick, LB Manti Te’o, CB Shareece Wright.
