The Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles face off on Sunday in Oakland in a AFC vs. NFC battle in the NFL.
The Oakland Raiders are 3-4 but they still look greatly improved over what we have seen from them in recent years as they seem to be competitive each time out. The Raiders offense is averaging 18 points and 314.9 yards per game with a turnover ratio of minus one. Terrelle Pryor has completed 63.1 percent of his passes for 1,149 yards with five touchdowns and seven interceptions and he has been sacked 2 times but he has also rushed for 391 yards. Darren McFadden has rushed for 340 yards and four touchdowns and Rashad Jennings is averaging 3.9 yards per carry. Denarius Moore has 27 catches and four touchdowns and Rod Streater has 23 catches. The Oakland defense allows 21.4 points and 330.9 yards per game and they are sixth in the NFL against the run and they also have five interceptions, 21 sacks, and seven fumble recoveries. Nick Roach has 51 tackles, Kevin Burnett has 48 tackles, and Tracy Porter has 39 tackles. The Raiders seem to be on the verge of being a good team and with a win here they can get to .500.

The Philadelphia Eagles enter this week at 3-5 and that is good enough for second place in the NFC East. The Eagles offense is averaging 22 points and 397. 1yrds per game and they have a minus one turnover ratio. Michael Vick is out for this one and Nick Foles is ready to go despite being banged up last week and he has completed 57.8 percent of his passes with six touchdowns. LeSean McCoy has rushed for 733 yards and three touchdowns and he has 25 receptions out of the backfield. DeSean Jackson has 45 receptions and five touchdowns and Jason Avant has 25 catches. Defensively the Eagles are allowing 26.4 points and 401.8 yards per game which ranks 31st in the NFL and they have eight interceptions, 16 sacks, and four fumble recoveries. DeMeco Ryans has 66 tackles, Mychal Kendricks has 56 tackles, and Nate Allen has 51 tackles. Despite being two games under .500 the Eagles are far from out of it.
Oakland is 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games, 5-2-1 against the spread in their last eight games overall, and 1-7-1 against the spread following a game in which they covered the spread. Philadelphia is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games, 6-17-1 against the spread in their last 24 games, and 7-18-1 against the spread following a loss.
The Eagles simply look lost right now and the play right into the Raiders’ strengths in this spot and I like the home team here to win outright but nothing wrong with grabbing the points.
