The Baltimore Ravens have a losing record so far this season but at 4-5 they are still very much in the playoff hunt in the AFC. The Ravens offense is averaging 20.9 points and 307.6 yards per game and they are minus three in turnover ratio. Joe Flacco has completed 59 percent of his passes with 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions and he has been sacked 30 times. Ray Rice is averaging just 2.5 yards per carry and Bernard Pierce averages 2.8 yards per carry. Torrey Smith has 41 catches, Marlon Brown has 27 catches and Dallas Clark has 25 receptions. The Ravens defense allows 21 points and 342.2 yards. Daryl Smith has 80 tackles, Terrell Suggs has 64 tackles and 9.0 sacks, and Elvis Dumervil has 8.0 sacks. The Ravens look like a shell of the team that won the Super Bowl last year.
Chicago is 1-4 against the spread against a team with a losing record, 1-5 against the spread in their last six games, and 1-9-1 against the spread in their last 11 home games. Baltimore is 15-5-2 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games, and 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record. The home team has covered the point spread in the last four meetings of these two teams.
This game should e tight as both teams aren’t at their best and while I expect a ton of scoring game it should come right down to the wire so getting a field goal to start isn’t a bad place to be.
