Week 12 is officially underway, and there’s a lot to talk about in the two-day gap between now and the remaining games on Sunday and Monday. With that in mind, let’s take our daily look around the league at some of the noteworthy happenings out there and see what everyone’s up to this morning. Here’s the latest.

Saints-Falcons Notes: The “Thursday Night Football” battle between the Saints and Falcons ended up being closer than most people imagined it would be, and the result was a pretty entertaining game--especially if you like defense.
Atlanta posted an early Steven Jackson rushing score in the first quarter, but wouldn’t get into the end zone again. New Orleans notched a couple touchdowns of their own in the opening half, then utilized their revitalized defense to thwart any chance of a Falcons comeback. The final score ended up being 17-13, which squashes any dim hopes Atlanta (2-9) had of winning the division and will result in a 7-9 record at best.
Meanwhile, New Orleans (9-2) stays ahead of the pack atop the NFC South. Carolina is their nearest competitor, sitting at 7-3 with an impending game against Miami on Sunday.

Raiders Injuries: Oakland is dealing with a pair of injuries on their offense which could greatly impact their performance against the Titans this weekend. First off, there’s No. 1 wideout Denarius Moore, who missed out on practice again yesterday, thanks to an ongoing shoulder injury. According to the coaching staff, this will be a nagging issue that will stick with him the rest of the situation. At best, it looks like we’re dealing with a pain-management scenario but he could end up sitting out Sunday.
Then there’s Darren McFadden. There had been some optimism earlier in the week that he might be able to go, but it’s looking like that’s all but faded away. He missed out on practice yesterday as well, and it’s looking more and more likely that his hamstring issue will keep him out for a third straight week.
Raiders fans will have to keep an eye out for reports from today’s practice session to see how things are shaping up.

Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings: We’ll check in on Peterson briefly, as his injury has been a source of much discussion around the Vikings. He missed out on yesterday’s practice, thanks to a groin injury that popped up last week against the Seahawks. Peterson said it negatively impacted his performance (21 carries, 65 rush yards). For the record, he and the team are optimistic that he’ll be able to take the field in Week 12, but we’d imagine he’ll end up being a game-time decision unless he makes some significant progress in today’s practice.

NFL Week 12 Schedule: Now that the Saints and Falcons are all finished up, we can start looking toward Sunday’s slate of games. Here’s a look at the complete schedule, as well as the start times and TV networks you can catch the games on.
