NFL Updates: Patriots-Broncos Injuries, Week 12 Schedule and More

November 23, 2013

See the Latest Odds

Just one more day to wait until Week 12 (or the bulk of it, anyway) comes around in the NFL. In the meantime, there are plenty of ongoing storylines around the league that are worth following. With that in mind, let’s check in on some of the notable players out there and see what everyone’s up to. Here’s the latest.

Broncos Injuries: Tomorrow’s top-shelf matchup will be between the Broncos and Patriots. (8:30 PM ET on NBC.) It’ll be an interesting game, as two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks go at it in the cold and unforgiving environment of Gillette Stadium.
Let’s take a look at the Broncos’ injury report as they head into Foxboro. They’re relatively healthy, and their statuses are dominated by probable designations: Peyton Manning, Wes Welker, Joel Dreessen, J.D. Walton, Chris Kuper, Orlando Franklin, Winston Justice, Nate Irving and Duke Ihenacho all share that label.
The lone questionable designation is CB Champ Bailey, who is dealing with a foot injury.

Patriots Injuries: Meanwhile, the Patriots have a few injury concerns of their own, but like the Broncos, they should be entering this game in a relatively healthy state. New England has a dozen players on their report, with just one ruled out thus far--TE Michael Hoomanawanui (knee). The three probables are Matthew Slater, Brandon Spikes and Shane Vereen.
That said, here are the guys to watch. These players are all questionable: Kyle Arrington, Alfonzo Dennard, Steve Gregory, Aqib Talib and Leon Washington.

49ers Injury Concerns: While we’re on the subject of injuries, let’s take a look at some of the concerns the 49ers have as they prep for their “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Redskins in DC. The good news is with QB Colin Kaepernick and RB Frank Gore. Both of these players were able to participate fully in practices yesterday, and should do the same during today’s session. Kaepernick is dealing with a back ailment and Gore has an ankle issue. Both are expected to be fine for Monday.
Then there’s WR Mario Manningham. He was limited in yesterday’s practice session, thanks to a knee issue. What he does today will go a long way in determining his availability Monday. The Niners really need him to get going, however. He has just four grabs for 38 yards in two games so far.

NFL Week 12 Schedule: We’ve got some pretty good matchups looming in the remainder of Week 12. Some of these games will have a huge impact on who you’ll see in the postseason. Here’s a look at the complete schedule, as well as the start times and TV networks you can catch the games on.
