NFL Updates: Giants-Redskins, Week 13 Schedule and More

December 1, 2013

The NFL will be picking back up again within the coming hours, and Week 13 is sure to be one of the best yet. We’ve got all sorts of interesting matchups headed our way, so with that in mind, let’s take a closer look at some of the noteworthy names and storylines out there this morning. Here’s the latest.

What to Watch Tonight: This evening’s edition of “Sunday Night Football” seemed a lot more interesting before the season started. It features an NFC East matchup between the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins, with both teams in need of some good news after underperforming heavily this season.
The Giants come into Washington with a 4-7 record, far behind the Cowboys and Eagles in the sub-par division. The Redskins, meanwhile, sit at 3-8 and will struggle to even reach .500.
Last year, these two teams split their meetings. New York took the first 27-23, with Washington extracting revenge later 17-16. Given their history, this matchup should be another close one. Unfortunately, it likely won’t mean much of anything within the playoff picture this season.

“Monday Night Football” Injury Issues: Tomorrow’s Saints-Seahawks game should be a good one. While we’re waiting, let’s take a look at the injury issues on each team so we can get a feel for who we’ll be seeing out there.

Saints Injuries: New Orleans looks pretty good; they’ve got a thin list at least. The probables are CB Chris Carr, G Jahri Evans and RB Darren Sproles. Coming up questionable are LB Keyunta Dawson and DE Glenn Foster.

Seahawks Injuries: As for Seattle, they’re relatively healthy as well, but their list has a bit more certainty to it. CB Brandon Browner is out, WR Percy Harvin is doubtful. As for the probables, WR Jermaine Kearse and RB Marshawn Lynch should be out there tomorrow.

NFL Week 13 Schedule: The bye weeks are over, so it’ll be a full round of games once again when the NFL picks up this afternoon to resume Week 13. We’ve got some pretty good-looking matchups coming our way as well. Here’s a look at the full schedule, along with the start times and TV networks you can catch the games on.
