The Baltimore Ravens and the Minnesota Vikings face off on Sunday in Minnesota in week 14 NFL action.
The Baltimore Ravens have had have had their share of struggles this season, but if the season ended today they would be in the playoffs. The Ravens control their own destiny but they are looking at the Lions, Patriots, and Bengals in their last three games. Joe Flacco has completed 59.8 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while being sacked 39 times. Ray Rice has rushed for just 482 yards and he has 43 receptions. Torrey Smith has 54 catches and four touchdowns and Dallas Clark has 31 catches and three touchdowns. Baltimore is averaging 20.8 points and 309 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 19.6 points and their opponents are averaging 329 yards per game. The Ravens are hoping for a chance to defend their title as Super Bowl Champions.

The Minnesota Vikings are having a season to forget after going to the playoffs a season ago, they now appear headed to a top five draft choice. The Vikings are in last place in the NFC North and with a win and a tie in their last two games it is their best stretch of the season. The Vikings QB for this week is still a question mark between Christian Ponder, who is suffering a concussion, and Matt Cassel, who filled in last week in the win over the Bears. Greg Jennings leads the Vikings with 43 receptions and Jerome Simpson as 39 catches. Chad Greenway has 105 tackles, Erin Henderson has 93 tackles, and Andrew Sendejo has 70 tackles, The Vikings are averaging 24.1 points and 343.3 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 30.5 points and 407.6 yards per game. The Vikings simply haven’t put it together this season.
Baltimore is 6-2 against the spread in their last eight home games, 5-2 against the spread in their last seven gams after not covering the point spread, and 0-4 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Minnesota is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 2-5 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 0-4 against the spread following a win. The home team is 3-1-1 against the spread in the last five meetings of these two.
The total is set at 43 and that just seems a little to the low side and my free pick is on the over. I also have a pick on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
