The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Buffalo Bills face off on Sunday in Tampa Bay in week 14 NFL Football action.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven’t taken the forward strides many thought they would take this season and are relegated to just playing out the string at this point of the NFL season. The Bucs lost their first eight games of the season and then after winning their next three, they lost to the Panthers last week. Mike Glennon has completed 62.8 percent of his passes with 13 touchdowns and five interceptions. Bobby Rainey has been solid since joining the Buccaneers, averaging 4.2 yards per carry. Vincent Jackson has 61 receptions and five touchdowns and Timothy Wright has 36 catches. Levonte David leads the Tampa Bay defense with 108 tackles and 5 sacks, Mark Barron has 82 tackles, and Mason Foster has 64 tackles. The Buccaneers offense is averaging 18.1 points and 295.2 yards per game while the defense is allowing 23.8 points and 352.8 yards per game. While, as a team, Tampa Bay doesn’t have much to play for at this point, these games will serve as auditions for jobs for the players and coaching staff.

The Buffalo Bills have been inconsistent this season and in the end that has landed them in last place in the AFC East. The Bills have lost four of their last five games and if they want to have any chance of making the playoffs, they can’t afford another loss. E.J. Manuel has completed 8.2 percent of his passes with nine touchdowns and four interceptions. Fred Jackson has rushed for 633 yards and seven touchdowns with 7 touchdowns and C.J. Spiller as rushed for 656 yards. Steve Johnson has 46 receptions and Scott Chandler has 41 receptions. Kiko Alonso leads the Bills defense with 125 tackles, Aaron Williams has 76 tackles, and Mario Williams has 12 sacks. The Buffalo offense is averaging 22.2 points and 337.2 yards while defensively they are allowing 25.6 points and their opponents average 25.6 points and 354.1 yards per game. The Bills are used to drafting high and this year will be more of the same.
Tampa Bay is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 2-5 against the spread following a loss, and 1-6 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Buffalo is 7-2 against the spread following a loss, 1-4 against the spread in their last five games, and 1-6 against the spread in their last seven road games.
Tampa Bay is favored here and they should be as they are just playing the better football, despite last week’s loss. The Bucs lost to Carolina and there just isn’t much shame in that these days and they face a much lesser opponent here.
