NFL Updates: Bush, Palmer, Week 15 Schedule and More
December 14, 2013
Tomorrow we’ll resume what’s already been a very interesting Week 15 in the NFL. We’ve got some intense playoff battles happening across the league right now, so there will be plenty of shakeups over the next few weeks as the regular season cruises to a close. In any case, let’s take a closer look at some of the storylines and noteworthy players out there this morning. Here’s the latest.
Reggie Bush, RB, Detroit Lions: The last time we checked in on Bush, he was sidelined with a calf injury he sustained during pre-game warm-ups in Week 14. Frustrating enough for Lions fans, the ailment was a re-aggravation of an issue that had him on the injury report already. He sat out practice Wednesday and Thursday.
The good news is that Bush was able to return to practice yesterday. The Lions will certainly need him, as they’re locked in a dogfight for supremacy in the NFC North with the Bears and Packers hot on their tails. Detroit will welcome the visiting Ravens tomorrow in what should be a pretty entertaining matchup.

Tavon Austin, WR, St. Louis Rams: Although Austin is officially listed as questionable for Week 15, it’s not looking too favorable for him if you consider the signs. The Rams’ dynamic WR injured his ankle on a long run in Week 14, and hasn’t been able to return to practice this week. He’s still wearing a walking boot.
Although St. Louis is out of contention, they’d like nothing more than to defend their home turf and throw a wrench into New Orleans’ plans. A healthy Austin would certainly help, but we’ll have to see how he’s feeling tomorrow.
Carson Palmer, QB, Arizona Cardinals: Tomorrow is an important game for the Cardinals. They’ll be facing off against the Titans, and though Tennessee has faded from the playoff picture, it’ll still be a tough game. Adding to the Cardinals’ worries is Palmer’s health. He’s considered questionable for the matchup, thanks to an injury to his right elbow, which had him limited in practice this week. The general consensus is that he’ll be able to play, but the ailment may limit how effective he’ll be.
Arizona is trying to make a last-ditch push to position themselves for a Wild Card berth over these last few games. They’re facing an uphill battle: after Tennessee, they have to travel to Seattle, then take on the 49ers at home in Week 17.
NFL Week 15 Schedule: The playoff races have really begun to heat up, so we’ll be seeing a lot of compelling action over the next couple of days. Here’s a look at the remaining Week 15 schedule, along with the start times and TV networks carrying the games.
