The Oakland Raiders are going through another tough season for one of the most winning franchises in NFL history. The Raiders are still paying out a series of bad contracts and when they dig themselves out from the mess winning will come. Matt McGloin has completed 56 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. Rashad Jennings has 679 rushing yards and six touchdowns and Darren McFadden should return this week after missing last week’s game. Rod Streater has 54 catches and Denarius Moore has 39 receptions and five touchdowns. Defensively Nick Roach has 100 tackles, Kevin Burnett has 93 tackles, and Charles Woodson has 79 tackles. Oakland is averaging 21.1 points and 344.3 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 28.1 points and 358.4 yards. The Raiders have lost four in a row and six of their last seven games.
San Diego is 2-8-1 against the spread following a win, 3-9-1 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 1-4 against the spread after allowing under 90 yards rushing in their previous game. Oakland is 9-3 against the spread following a loss, 5-2-1 against the spread in their last eight road games, and 7-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread. The road team has covered the spread in five of the last six meetings of these two.
The Chargers are the better team but this is a lot of points for a rivalry game so I will take the points in what is just a lean.
