The Line: San Francisco 49ers -14 -- Over/Under: 46 See the Latest Odds
The San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons face off on Monday Night in what could be the final NFL game at Candlestick Park.
The San Francisco 49ers look to be a playoff team but they more than likely will need to get it done on the road and with them moving to a new stadium next year they say goodbye to the stadium that has treated them so well over the years. The 49ers have had a great deal of success over the years and they hope to close out this year with another super bowl title. Colin Kaepernick has completed 57.9 percent of his passes for 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions and he has rushed for 449 yards and three touchdowns. Anquan Boldin has 70 receptions and five touchdowns and Vernon Davis has 49 catches and 12 touchdowns but the passing game has been given a big lift with the addition of Michael Crabtree and Mario Manningham. NaVoro Bowman has 124 tackles to lead the 49ers, Patrick Willis has 80 tackles, and Eric Reid has 64 tackles and four interceptions. The 49ers offense is averaging 24.9 points and 316.1 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 16.3 points and 299.1 yards per game. The 49ers will know exactly what they have to play for by the time this game kicks off.

The Atlanta Falcons are having their worst season in several years as injuries and a tough schedule caught up with them. The Falcons have struggled every week but it doesn’t appear to problems that a few high draft choices and an a fourth place schedule can’t take care of. Matt Ryan has completed 66.4 percent of his passes with 22 touchdowns and 14 interceptions and he has been sacked 34 times. Steve Jackson is averaging 3.5 yards per carry as is Jacquizz Rodgers. Harry Dougles has 73 receptions, Tony Gonzalez has 71 receptions as Julio Jones missed the bulk of season and Roddy White was injured for the first time in his career. Paul Worrilow has 109 tackles, William Moore has 78 tackles, and Osi Umenyiora has 7.5 sacks. The Falcons are averaging 22.1 points and 341.5 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 27.7 points and 386.3 yards per game. The Falcons have won two of their last three games.
San Francisco is 5-0 against the spread against a team with a losing record, 4-1 against the spread against the NFC, and 19-9-1 against the spread in their last 29 home games. Atlanta is 5-12 against the spread in their last 17 games, 1-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 1-4 against the spread following a win. The underdog has covered the point spread in nine of the last 13 meetings of these two.
The total is set at 46 and I have this one pretty close to that so it is a lean to the under. I also have a pick on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
