The New Orleans Saints dropped to 10-5 on the year after losing at Carolina 17-13 last Sunday. The Saints outgained the Panthers 365 to 222 on Sunday, but turned the ball over twice compared to Carolina’s 1 turnover. Drew Brees completed 30 of 44 passes for 281 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Jimmy Graham caught 5 balls for 73 yards and a score, while Mark Ingram rushed 13 times for 83 yards in the loss. On the year, the Saints offense ranks 2nd in passing yards with 303.2 per contest. The rushing attack ranks 25th in the league, averaging 91.7 yards per game. On defense, the Saints rank 2nd against the pass, 192.7 yards per game, and 19th against the rush, giving up 114.1 per contest. Brees has thrown for 4,781 yards and 35 touchdowns this season. Graham has caught 81 balls for 1,144 yards and 15 scores. Pierre Thomas has rushed 140 times for 529 yards and 1 touchdown this season. This was the Saints second loss on the road, both coming on the road. The Saints will be back at home for the season-finale; New Orleans is a perfect 7-0 at home this season.
The Saints are a much better team at home and have wins by 6, 24, 21, 18, 32, 3, and 18 this year. Meanwhile, Tampa is not good team to begin with and they are even worst when playing on the road. New Orleans is coming off back-to-back losses and they will be looking to play a perfect game to gain some momentum heading into the playoffs. I’m taking the Saints to win this game big.
