The Line: Tennessee Titans 0 -- Over/Under: 36.5 See the Latest Odds

The Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans will play their first preseason game of the year on Saturday at LP Field.

The Packers expect this to be a much better season than last year with a healthy Aaron Rodgers under center. The Packers will also have a more experienced Eddie Lacy at running back and a healthy Randall Cobb at wide receiver. Overall, the Packers offense will be as explosive as ever, but due to the experience of the starters you likely won’t see many reps from the first team unit in this game. Backup quarterback Matt Flynn is likely going to get most of the action in this spot, and he needs it with Rodgers proving he’s injury prone. Flynn has bounced around from team to team lately and has 17 career touchdown passes to 10 career interceptions. Defensively, there are many starting jobs up for grabs after a lousy performance last season. Look out for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who could start at free safety.

Green Bay Packers at Tennessee Titans NFL Pick, Odds, Prediction - 8/9/14

The Titans enter this season with an interesting group of players who could surprise some folks. While the Titans offense lost Chris Johnson, their running back depth is actually better than a year ago with Shonn Greene, Bishop Sankey and Dexter McCluster. That backfield has great potential and should help quarterback Jake Locker more than ever. And while the Titans offense is still waiting for another receiver to emerge, Justin Hunter could be that guy as he enters his second season. As for a backup quarterback, the Titans are rolling with Charlie Whitehurst, a guy who always shows up in the preseason but never sees any meaningful playing time when the games matter. Defensively, the Titans have an underrated starting unit but have to develop depth across the board.

Quarterback depth is how I pick preseason games because the rest of the game is unpredictable. The Packers have two guys who have started in this league and should see most of the reps in the first half. Here’s to hoping the Packers can find the end zone a couple of times and win this toss up of a matchup.
