The Jacksonville Jaguars visit Soldier Field to battle the Chicago Bears in week two of the preseason.
Jacksonville opened their preseason with a 16-10 victory over visiting Tampa Bay. It was somewhat typical of the preseason with a very low score that was indicative of the defense being ahead of the offense. The D led the way by limiting the Buccaneers 249 yards and 13 first downs while recovering a fumble and returning an interception 68 yards for six. The offense didn't do much with 264 yards but to their they did not turn the ball over. Blake Bortles was a bright spot with 117 yards on a 7-11 performance while Denard Robinson ripped off a 23 yard run with Allen Hurns making a pair of receptions for 43 yards.

If you watch the NFL preseason you probably notice that many games are low scoring because of good defense or poor offense so the Bears 34-28 decision was one of the higher scoring contests and probably one of the more entertaining of week one. The defense gave up 359 yards but did record three interceptions and recover a fumble while the O passed for almost 400 yards. Jimmy Clausen threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns with Jordan Palmer adding 104 yards and a TD while Jay Cutler threw for 85 yards and another score. The Bears did make plenty of mistakes with three turnovers and a laughable 14 penalties but Philadelphia simply made just as many.
If you look at each game the Jaguars and Bears played Chicago was the more explosive offensively and Jacksonville more defensive. Right now I am leaning Bears at home but no line has been released so I'll have time to look at this further but remember lineups are always an unknown...Too many points for me to ignore in the preseason.
