The Baltimore Ravens shoot for their second win of the preseason when they go on the road to face the Dallas Cowboys.
The Ravens opened their preseason in dominating fashion with an easy 23-3 victory over San Francisco. I suppose easy and dominating should have an asterisk next to them because this was the preseason opener for both teams but Baltimore moved the ball and the 49ers didn't. The Ravens held the 49ers to under 190 yards but piled up 386 yards of their own behind a rushing attack that totaled 237 yards. Tyrod Taylor threw for 116 yards with a score and a pick while running for another 59. Lorenzo Taliaferro paced the ground game with 71 yards while the rushing attack led the way to over 39 minutes in time of possession.

While the preseason is completely meaningless when it comes to winning and losing sometimes the scoreboard says something. In the Cowboys 27-7 defeat at San Diego the message was there are things to work on on both sides of the ball. The Chargers totaled nearly 400 yards with much of the damage coming through the air while Dallas mustered 194 total yards and were unable to get going aside from a second quarter touchdown that gave them a 7-0 lead. Brandon Weeden completed 13-17 for 107 and the lone score but there was no Tony Romo and most of the scoring by SD came in a 17-0 second half so the reserves were hit fairly hard. Ahmad Dixon recorded a game high eleven tackles for Dallas.
I would expect Weeden to get most of the snaps for the Cowboys but their run defense could be challenged against Baltimore. Once again I don't really know who is playing and for how long and no spread has been released so please check back...
