The Green Bay Packers visit Edward Jones Dome to take the field with the St Louis Rams.
Green Bay looked okay in spurts in a 20-16 defeat at Tennessee although there is still work to be done. Scott Tolzien was the only quarterback of note with 124 yards as Aaron Rodgers was nowhere to be found. James Starks and Rajion Neal combined for 88 yards on eleven carries with a touchdown each to give the Pack some punch on the ground but overall nothing was sustained with the mass substititions and their five fumbles didn't help. Overall both teams appeared to be ready to get this over with more then anything.

It's sometimes difficult to watch a preseason game as even the most diehard fans can never be sure who is on the field at any given moment. Having said that, the Rams 26-24 loss to New Orleans was one of the better match ups with plenty of scoring in a close contest. St Louis amassed 388 yards with Austin Davis throwing for 134 yards and a pick while Shaun Hill added another 84 yards and a pair of interceptions so the production was good considering the mistakes. The Rams had a few big runs as well but the rushing attack was ordinary outside of a few big gainers. The bottom line was the Saints did a little better job of limiting mistakes and made plays when needed offensively.
Green Bay did little aside from a few players while the Rams were hurt by mistakes and too many short gains that negated some nice big plays. I need to think about the pros and cons while I wait on a line...
