The Buffalo Bills welcome the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Ralph Wilson Stadium for a Saturday afternoon tilt.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell to instate rival the Miami Dolphins 20-14 in week two to remain winless in the preseason. Based on two games it appears the Buccaneers are stronger on the defensive side of the football with the O scoring 24 points but it's hard to say what is going on in the preseason. However the numbers do point to a struggling offense that was outgained 326-250 with the quarterback trio of Mike Glennon, Mike Kafka and Josh McCown going a combined 15-30 for 159 yards with a pair of touchdowns. Putting the ball on the ground and losing two fumbles didn't help an attack that is having trouble moving the chains and finding the endzone.

The Buffalo Bills played another tight one in a 19-16 defeat at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers to fall to 1-2. A field goal as time expired did the Bills in although the blame for this loss probably falls on the shoulders of the offense who threw a pair of interceptions and lost two fumbles while missing a field goal. Throw in a 358-254 advantage in total yards and one would believe that Buffalo should have visited the endzone a few more times. EJ Manuel threw for 147 yards in extended action while the rushing game totaled 150 yards as the Bills tried to establish some consistency on the ground with okay success. Stefan Charles paced the defensse with a pair of sacks and three tackles while this unit recorded a pick and recovered two fumbles.
I don't know whether Buffalo will be trying to establish the run or pass but I do know they need to establish some scoring. Speaking of scoring we have Tampa Bay which hasn't done much either so may be I check out the total here when the spread is released...
