The Cincinnati Bengals go in search of their first win in the preseason with a visit to take on the Arizona Cardinals.
I thought the Cincinnati Bengals could be 2-0 at this point but breakdowns in the opener and no scoring in a 25-17 loss to the visiting New York Jets tells a different story. I guess we could chalk this one up to the backups and reserves s Andy Dalton and the first team led the way to 14 points in the first quarter before the scoring stopped. Dalton was 8-8 for 144 yards and a touchdown but Matt Scott was just 8-22 for 54 yards and an interception. Bengals quarterbacks were sacked five times while four fumbles (two lost) and eleven penalties tell us there are plenty of things to clean up.

The Arizona Cardinals played in one of the more entertaining games of week two although they were losers to the Minnesota Vikings 30-28. The Cardinals scored at 1:11 of the fourth for what appeared to be a win only to watch Teddy Bridgewater connect on a short touchdown pass less then a minute later to secure the win. The defense that looked so good in the preseason opener was tagged for 439 yards with 322 coming through the air. Arizona's quarterback combo of Crson Palmer, Ryan Lindley and Drew Stanton looked vanilla with 224 yards on 18-31 while the rushing attack went almost nowhere. Jaron Brown caught a 51 yard pass and Brittan Golden ripped off a 20 yard run but that was it from a big play perspective.
I need to think about this one with Cincinnati not looking good thus far while everything the Cardinals did in a 32-0 victory in the opener was nearly erased by their game two performance. I will try to come up with something when I see a line...
