The Denver Broncos head to Big D on Thursday to face off against the Dallas Cowboys at Jerry World.
The Dallas Cowboys are still looking for their first win of the preseason, when the Cowboys host the Denver Broncos on Thursday night. Somehow I think Thursday’s game will be a little less exciting than last season’s shootout loss against the Broncos. The Cowboys and Tony Romo’s back got a big test last week, as the Dolphins hit Romo numbers times. Romo played well however and showed no signs of pain as he once again looked like his old self. The Cowboys should have one of the better offensive lines in the league this season, but what happened against the Dolphins has to be a concern, especially playing the Niners and their solid pass rush in week one. Dez Bryant is looking like an absolute star, and is making a case for the best wide out in the game right now. Brandon Weeded again looked solid as the Cowboys backup, and that should be a good sign for Dallas backers here as Weeden should see the lions share of the snaps against Denver.

The Denver Broncos are 2-1 this preseason, with their lone loss coming this past weekend against the Texans. The Broncos took a little while to get their starting offense going against the Houston defense, even with Watt only playing a limited number of snaps. Still, I wouldn’t be too concerned if I was a Bronco fan as Denver should once again have one of the elite offenses in the league. Osweiller struggled against the Texans this past weekend, but Dallas’ defense is Houston’s and even though the Cowboys secondary did make some plays against the Dolphins (including an impressive pick six) Osweiller should have a much easier time in Dallas on Sunday.
Going with Denver here. I hate road favorites, but this is preseason…and who cares about home field advantage. Look for Osweiller to try and have a bounce back game here against this Cowboys defense, which in this offense should equal a good amount of points being put up.
