The Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers end their preseason with a Thursday matchup at Lambeau Field.
The Kansas City Chiefs are 1-2 in the preseason and have really struggled defensively. The Chiefs have allowed 28 or more points in all three preseason games, including 30 points in their most recent loss against the Minnesota Vikings. In that game, the Chiefs allowed 20 second half points and the Vikings averaged more than five yards per carry. The Chiefs can’t help but be worried with the way their defense has performed so far. Offensively, Alex Smith has yet to throw a touchdown this preseason and threw two interceptions in his last game. However, you’re likely not going to see the Kansas City Chiefs starters in this matchup. That means a lot of reps for rookie quarterback Tyler Bray, who completed nine of 15 passes in his last outing.

The Green Bay Packers are 2-1 in the preseason and have won two straight. The Packers have scored 52 points in their last two games, but a lot of that is due to Aaron Rodgers three touchdown passes. You won’t see any of the Green Bay Packers starters in this game as they’re already preparing for the Seattle Seahawks season opener a week from now. Instead, you’ll get a heavy dose of Scott Tolzien and Matt Flynn, a quarterback duo that combined for 144 yards, one touchdown and one interception in their last game. Defensively, the Packers have allowed 48 points in three games and have forced four turnovers. Julius Peppers looks to be in regular season form after picking up two tackles for loss in his last outing.
Rodgers and none of the Packers starters are going to play in this game, so why the spread is so high is beyond me. This would be a resonable line if this was a regular season game, but it's preseason. I'll take the high number of points any day of the week when the game could go either way.
