The Miami Dolphins and the St Louis Rams close the preseason with a match up at Sun Life Stadium.
The St Louis Rams hammered the Cleveland Browns 33-14 to up their preseason record to 1-2. However, their worse fears were realized when quarterback Sam Bradford went down with a season ending ACL tear after attempting nine passes and throwing for 77 yards. Austin Davis received most of the snaps and finished 14-22 for 198 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception. The highlight was a 75 yard catch and run to Chris Givens in a solid performance from the offense who rolled up over 440 yards with 300 coming in the air. The defense was just as strong by limiting the Browns to 178 yards and 13 first downs while forcing a pair of turnovers.

The Miami Dolphins improved their record to 2-1 as they rallied past the Dallas Cowboys 25-20 in week three action. The good news was the first team defense was rock solid and the bad news was the starting offense struggled with the Cowboys leading this one 6-3 at the half. The Dolphins certainly moved the chains with nearly 500 yards but three fumbles (one lost) and a pair of interceptions took points off the scoreboard. Matt Moore threw for 172 yards with a TD and a pick six with Ryan Tannehill andding another 119 yards and an interception. Orleans Darkwa paced the rushing attack with 70 yards including a 53 scoring jaunt while Knowshon Moreno ground out 64 yards on ten carries.
Miami has looked pretty good in the preseason thus far with contributions from both sides of the football. The Rams have struggled at times and realized their bigest fears with an injury to a key player in the preseason. I suspect this game will be a battle of backups and will try to come up with something once a line comes out so please check back...
