The Colts and Jaguars meet up in Jacksonville on Sunday as these two AFC South rivals both search for their first win of the season.
The Indianapolis Colts were preseason favourites to win the AFC South and to challenge the likes of Denver and New England for the AFC Championship but through two games they find themselves winless and in the basement of their division. You have to take things with a grain of salt, however as they have played fellow Super Bowl contenders in Denver and Philadelphia and were competitive in both losses and should very well have sealed off the Eagles on Monday night. Andrew Luck has developed into one of the best quarterbacks in the league and while some say he has struggled through the air his touchdown numbers say otherwise and I think he and the Colts offense is going to be just fine especially against a hapless Jags team who might very well be the worst in football. Indy is laying a touchdown right now on the road in a divisional game which isn’t something you see very often but that just goes to show how far apart these two sides are and I think the Colts, after last week’s meltdown in the fourth quarter will be using this as a showcase for their offense and a statement for their defense.

The Jaguars are terrible. Plain and simple. They do have some nice pieces that they can use to build around moving forward but most of those pieces aren’t in the starting lineup as Blake Bortles remains on the bench and Marquise Lee is out with an injury so I think it is safe to say that the Jags are still going through their rebuild and won’t be making too many strides this season. Jacksonville did give the Eagles a bit of a scare in their season opener but they were smashed by the Redskins last weekend and it is clear that Jacksonville is still a confidence booster for opponents and I don’t see this one being any different. The Jags though do usually show up for games against Indy which makes me a little weary of laying the touchdown but I think circumstantially this one leans the way of the Colts as they desperately need a win here and won’t take their foot off the gas until the clock reads zeroes. If the Colts were 2-0 heading into this game I’d be more inclined to lay the points with the Jags but in this spot I can see things getting out of hand in a hurry.
