The Line: New York Giants +2.5 -- Over/Under: 42 See the Latest Odds

The Houston Texans and New York Giants square off Sunday at MetLife Stadium in week 3 of the NFL season.

Don’t look now, but the Houston Texans are 2-0 to begin the season and relying heavily on a healthy Arian Foster. Foster has given the Texans offense life with 241 rushing yards and one touchdown on 55 carries. The Texans have the eighth best rushing attack in the NFL. While Houston doesn’t have much of a passing game, Ryan Fitzpatrick is managing the game well by completing 68.3 percent of his passes for 345 yards and three touchdowns. The Texans are only going to improve offensively as long as Foster and everybody remain healthy the rest of the way. Defensively, the Houston Texans are allowing 368 yards, and have forced six turnovers and three sacks. Johnathan Joseph leads the Texans with 16 tackles, while D.J. Swearinger has 11 tackles and two forced fumbles.

This game is a must win for an 0-2 New York Giants team that hasn’t figured anything out since the preseason. Despite completing 61.1 percent of his passes, Eli Manning has thrown four interceptions and has been sacked four times, while the Giants running game is averaging just 2.7 yards per carry. Larry Donnell has been the Giants only offensive bright spot so far with 137 yards and one touchdown on 12 catches. The Giants can’t pass protect, can’t run the ball, can’t throw the ball, simply can’t do much of anything right on the offensive side. Defensively, the New York Giants are allowing 341.5 yards per game, and have forced five sacks and zero turnovers. Prince Amukamara leads the Giants with 17 tackles and Robert Ayers has a sack in each of the first two games.

I am not a believer at all in the New York Giants, as this team has been a mess since the preseason. However, if there’s anything saving them, it’s the fact that the Houston Texans just played a road game in Oakland and now has to travel to New York. All that traveling across country usually doesn’t bode well.

I’ll take my chances with the Giants and the points.
