The Eagles and Giants meet up in Philadelphia on Sunday night as these two NFC East rivals jockey for position in the division.
The New York Football Giants have come a long way over the last five weeks as they started with an 0-2 mark and looked like a lottery team but have responded with three straight wins while looking like a playoff contender in a swing that only Eli Manning and the Giants can pull off. New York is a pretty solid team that should be able to stay competitive in a wide open NFC East division and if Manning can maintain his solid form and limit the amount of turnovers than I think Rashad Jennings, Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle and the rest of the Giants playmakers can find success. Defensively, the Giants have been much improved as well and they will have to be on point in this one as the Eagles offense is pretty explosive and if Lesean McCoy can have success on the ground than I think Philly could make things easy. Otherwise, the Giants should be able to move the ball on the Philly secondary that has been suspect this season and we could be in for a very exciting and entertaining football game in prime time.

The Eagles at 4-1 atop the NFC East and are tied with the Cowboys for the division lead but this Philly side could be one of the most overrated 4-1 teams in the league. Offensively, Nick Foles, McCoy, and Jeremy Maclin are all more than serviceable players and are among the top ranks at their respective position but beyond that I think the Eagles are a bit thin and I’m not sold on Riley Cooper as a second option through the air. Darren Sproles is a nice compliment to this offense but has been boom or bust so far and unless the Eagles can establish some early success through the air than I don’t see them using Sproles in the check down option. Defensively, the Eagles are a mess and have looked very susceptible at times to some very weak opponents and if they let the Giants dictate the game they will take full advantage and move ahead of the Eagles in the standings. This will be a very exciting contest and due to the closeness of these teams the home side has the default three point line but I am on the other side here. I like the Giants to get the win outright but will take the points just to be safe.
