The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Baltimore Ravens face off on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium in a week 6 NFL matchup.
The Tampa bay Buccaneers are 1-4 for the season and even though they are coming off of a loss on Sunday in New Orleans they are clearly a team that is improving. The Buccaneers made it to overtime last week but they allowed a touchdown and it was game over and another loss. Mike Glennon is back at QB after an injury to Josh McCown Bobby Rainey is Tampa Bay’s leading ground gainer averaging 4.7 yards per carry and he has 16 receptions and Doug Martin has been ineffective averaging 2.5 yards per touch. Vincent Jackson is the Bucs leading receiver with 21 but Mike Evans is still out and they need his help. The Buccaneers are minus two in turnover ratio and the defense is led by Lavonte David with 52 tackles, Mark Barron has 38 tackles, and Gerald McCoy has two sacks. Tampa Bay is a work in progress and they have some pretty big holes o fill before they are competitive on a weekly basis.

The Baltimore Ravens are 3-2 for the season and are coming off of a hard fought loss to Indianapolis in Indy. The Ravens had won their prior three games after losing their season opener to the Bengals but they appear to be a playoff contender thus far. Joe Flacco has completed 62.3 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and three interceptions but more importantly he is the clear leader of this team. Justin Forset leads the Ravens ground game with a 5.9 yard per carry average and he also has 23 receptions. Steve Smith leads Baltimore in receiving with 30 receptions and Owen Daniels has 19 as he needs to carry the load at tight end with Dennis Pitta gone for the season. The Ravens have a plus two turnover ratio and C.J. Mosely is the leading tackler with 49, Darryl Smith has 38 tackles, and Haloti Ngata is still dominating in the middle of the defensive line including getting his hands up for two interceptions. The Ravens have just five sacks and they will need to turn up the heat if they hope to be in the post season hunt.
Tampa Bay is 13-31-1 against the spread in their last 45 home games, 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games, and 1-5 against the spread following a loss. Baltimore is 0-5 against the spread against a team with a losing record, 1-8 against the spread in their last nine October games, and 0-5 against the spread in their last five road games against a team with a losing home record.
The last five times these teams have met it has stayed under the total and I look for this one to make it six in a row and the under is my free pick. My stronger pick is on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
