The Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals face off on Sunday in Arlington in Week 9 NFL action.
The Dallas Cowboys looked to have everything going in the right direction but then they ran into the Redskins on Monday night and everything came to a grinding halt with a humbling defeat. Even with the loss the Cowboys remain I first place jn the NFC East with the offense averaging 26.6 points and 400.6 yards per game. QB Tony Romo was injured on Monday but he is probable for this one and for the season he has completed 68.2 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions while being sacked 17 times. DeMarco Murray leads the Cowboys ground attack with 1054 yards and seven touchdowns and Dez Bryant leads in receptions with 48 and five touchdowns. The Cowboys defense is allowing 20.9 points and 352 yards per game but they are minus two in turnover ratio. Justin Durant has 49 tackles, Barry Church has 47 tackles, and Rolando McClain has rejuvenated his career with 38 tackles. Dallas needs to shake off Monday’s loss in a hurry or it could start a trend.

The Arizona Cardinals are 6-1 and quietly lead the NFC West that is arguably the NFL’s toughest division. The Cardinals offense hasn’t done anything spectacular averaging 23.4 points and 329.1 yards but with a plus nine turnover ratio they haven’t been losing games. Carson Palmer has completed 61 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and just one interception and he has been sacked just four times. Andre Ellington leads Arizona running backs with 464 yards and he has 28 receptions while Larry Fitzgerald leads all receivers with 30 receptions and Week 8 hero John Born has 22 catches. The Cardinals defense has been outstanding allowing 19.9 points and 380.7 yards per game but ranking 3rd in the NFL against the run. Tony Jefferson has 50 tackles, Rashad Johnson has 47 tackles, and lorry Foote has 36 tackles. The Cardinals don’t get a ton of press but they do all of their talking on the field.
Dallas is 6-2 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games, and 4-1 against the spread against the NFC. Arizona is 6-1 against the spread in their last seven road games, 9-2 against the spread following a win, and -2 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread.
The total looks totally too high for this one and I like the UNDER for my free pick. My stronger play is on who will cover the spread and I will post that pick in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
