The Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles face off on Sunday at Lambeau Field in a Week 11 MFL football matchup of playoff hopefuls.
The Green Bay Packers are in second place in the NFC North but they are playing as well as any team in the NFL right now. The Packers offense is averaging 30.8 points and 357.8 yards per game and they are led by QB Aaron Rodgers who has completed 67.5 percent of his passes with 25 touchdowns and three interceptions. Eddie Lacy is Green Bay’s leading rusher with 478 yards and four touchdowns and Jordy Nelson has 56 catches and eight touchdowns and Randall Cobb has 44 catches and 10 touchdowns. The Packers defense is allowing 22.8 points and 371.7 yards per game but they are plus 10 in turnover ratio. A.J. Hawk has 65 tackles, Morgan Burnett has 64 tackles, and Julius Peppers has 5.0 sacks. The Packers look poised for a run deep into the playoffs.

The Philadelphia Eagles are in first place in the NFC and look to be a well oiled machine after blowing out the Panthers on Monday Night Football. The Eagles continue to run Chip Kelly’s offense averaging 31 points and 404.3 yards per game. Mark Sanchez has taken over at QB for the injured Nick Foles and he has completed 59.3 percent of his passes with four touchdowns and two interceptions. LeSean McCoy has gained 641 yards with two touchdowns and Jeremy Maclin is Philadelphia’s leading receiver with 48 catches and eight touchdowns. Darren Sproles is healthy again and making an impact both rushing the football and catching passes out of the backfield and Jordan Mathews is emerging as a top receiver. The Eagles defense allows 22 points and 366.9 yards per game but they are minus five in turnover ratio. Malcolm Jenkins has 41 tackles and Bradley Fletcher and Nate Allen have 37 tackles each. Connor Barwin has 10.5 sacks as he Eagles have turned up the heat on opposing QB’s.
Green Bay is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games, 19-7 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 5-2 against the spread in their last seven home games against a team with a winning road record. Philadelphia is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 4-12-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 4-1 against the spread after rushing for more than 90 yards in their previous game. Philadelphia has covered the point spread in four of their last five games in Green Bay.
This series always seems to go under but I don’t see that being the case here and even with the total set in he mid-50’s I am on the over.
