The Line: Oakland Raiders +7 -- Over/Under: 42.5 See the Latest Odds

The Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders play Thursday night at the O.co Coliseum.

The Kansas City Chiefs have won five straight and all of a sudden find themselves in the playoff convo. The Chiefs rely on its running game that’s averaging 4.8 yards per carry and has produced 10 plays of 20 or more yards. Jamaal Charles leads the way with 692 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, while Knile Davis has 421 yards and five touchdowns. Alex Smith is completing 66.3 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. Smith has one touchdown and zero picks in his last two games, and Kansas City has 21 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Dwayne Bowe and Travis Kelce have combined for close to 1,000 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Anthony Fasano has eight of his 20 receptions in his last three games. Defensively, the Kansas City Chiefs are allowing 17.1 points, 326 yards, and have forced seven turnovers and 30 sacks. Josh Mauga leads the Chiefs with 66 tackles and Justin Houston has 12 sacks.

Raiders vs. Chiefs - 11/20/14 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

It’s been over a calendar year since the Oakland Raiders have won a football game. Derek Carr is completing 59.8 percent of his passes for 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Carr, who is probable despite a quad injury, has four touchdowns and four picks in his last three games. James Jones and Andre Holmes have combined for over 900 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, while Mychal Rivera has all three of his receiving touchdowns in his last three games. It’s the Raiders ground game that’s been god awful, averaging just 3.4 yards per carry, have two running plays of 20 or more yards and just two rushing touchdowns. Darren McFadden leads Oakland with 393 rushing yards and two scores. Defensively, the Oakland Raiders are allowing 26.5 points, 365.2 yards, and they’ve forced eight turnovers and 10 sacks. Charles Woodson leads the Raiders with 74 tackles and Khalil Mack has 11 tackles for loss.

The Chiefs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Raiders are 27-55-1 ATS in their last 83 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in November. The Chiefs are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 meetings in Oakland, while the road team is 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 meetings.

While the Raiders have been terrible, this is a division rivalry where they have actually won three of the last five meeting SU. Short week, home field and knowing that they have to win eventually, I’m taking the free touchdown here. Besides, most Thursday games we’ve seen this year have been sloppy and ugly. The points should come in handy here.
