The Line: Atlanta Falcons -3 -- Over/Under: 46.5 See the Latest Odds
The Atlanta Falcons and the Cleveland Browns face off on Sunday in the Georgia Dome in a Week 12 NFL battle of playoff hopefuls.
The Atlanta Falcons are just 4-6 this season but as things turn out that is good enough for first place in the AFC South. The Falcons offense is averaging 23.8 points and 367.3 yards per game and they beat the Saints in week one and have the tiebreaker over them. Matt Ryan has completed 65.4 percent of his passes with 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions while being sacked 20 times. Steven Jackson’s 467 rushing yards leads the Falcons run attack and Julio Jones leads the receivers with 67 catches and Roddy White has 47 receptions. The Falcons defense allows 25.5 points and a NFL worst 403.4 yards per game and they have a plus three turnover ratio. Paul Worrilow has 97 tackles, Kemal Ishmael has 58 tackles, and Joplo Bartu has 54 tackles. The Falcons play four of their last six games at home.

The Cleveland Browns went from first to last in the AFC North in a matter of a week as they took a home loss to Houston. The Browns offense is averaging 21.6 points and 356.1 yards per game that are both in the middle of the pack in the NFL. Cleveland QB Brian Hoyer has completed 55.7 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns and five interceptions while being sacked 15 times. Terrance West has gained 408 rushing yards with three touchdowns and Isaiah Crowell has 358 yards and five touchdowns. Andrew Hawkins leads the Browns receivers with 45 catches and two touchdowns and Miles Austin has 34 catches and two touchdowns. The Browns defense allows a seventh bet in the NFL 19.5 points and 372.3 yards per game and they are plus eight in turnover ratio. Donte Whitner has 72 tackles, Karlos Dansby has 73 tackles, and Paul Kruger has 6.0 sacks. The Browns are a better team than we have seen in recent years but their inconsistency may be heir undoing in the tough AFC North.
Atlanta is 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games, 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games, and 3-7 against the spread following a win. Cleveland is 16-5-1 against the spread in their last 22 road games against a team with a losing home record, 0-4 against the spread following a double digit home loss, and 5-1-2 against the spread following a loss by 14 or more points.
With the total set at 47 and as bad as the Falcons defense is I expect this one to have no issue going over. My stronger play is on who will cover the spread and I will post that in Premium Area as well as on the App.
